Leading Dancing

The lady Sophia the Orange is ready to lead the dancing!With the music recordings of her band Musica Subterranea, Sophia is ready to lead historically informed dance at an event, ball, or shindig!

English Country Dance, Italian Renaissance Dance, French, Russian, and more can bring to life any gathering. Dances can be simple for beginners or advanced and complex.  Advanced dances can be taught if time allows. Historic research sources can be shared if time allows for deep dives into where these dances and tunes came from.

 

Renaissance festivals, Pirate balls, Fairy fests, and Bridgerton recreations are all events where this kind of dancing will bring the room to life!  Sophia can teach and lead dancing for any size group.

Going to the Pirate Ball in Richmond, VA on June 27, 2026?
